Northern Lights Basecamp in Breivikeidet

The tour starts from Tromsø with a 50-minute drive to our basecamp in Breivikeidet - our location for the evening. Here you can enjoy the Northern Lights from different vantage points. These can include a short guided walk with stunning views of the Lyngen Alps or other viewpoints that provide great experiences in the Polar Night. If your fingers are getting frosty – warm yourself up in our restaurant with a cup of coffee/tea or hide from the arctic wind in a cozy traditional Sami tent called Lavvo before heading back out to hunt for the Lights again! Of course, there is no guarantee of seeing the Northern Lights, but you’re definitely in for a good chance!

Meal is not included. Wilderness meal (warm stew) can be arranged for 195NOK per person. Please inform us about your dietary requirements in advance so we could provide alternatives.  

What to wear & bring with you? 

We recommend dressing in warm winter clothing and in layers so you can adjust your clothing to the weather. We recommend bringing a scarf in cold weather.
