Whale & Arctic Wildlife Safari Discounted

Whale & Arctic Wildlife Safari Discounted

Are you ready for a cruise in the amazing winter fjords of Northern Norway? Wildlife, aquaculture, local villages, the weather and the elements in the Arctic as well as the Arctic landscape, and of course beautiful fjords. This is what is waiting for you. From late October to the end of January (approximately) some of the world’s biggest mammals visit the coast outside Tromsø to feed on herrings. The most common whale species we see are the humpback whale, killer whale (orca), harbour porpoise and sometimes even the fin whale. You are invited to come on board to take a close-up look at the feast, once we reach the whale feeding site, we stay for 1 – 1,5 hours.

The boat will provide you with a good opportunity to take photos and do nice sightseeing. There is a kiosk on board to purchase hot expedition meals (dry food to which you add hot water), snacks and cold drinks.

Please note that whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. Sightings can be affected by weather conditions and/ or whales’ natural behaviour, so it is impossible to be able to offer a guarantee.

The route, duration and destinations seen on the tour can differ from day to day based on the weather. However, if the whales are not spotted, you can still enjoy the fjord cruise.

Keep in mind that the weather in the arctic can be rough some days. If you think you might get seasick, please bring sea-sickness medicine with you and take it half an hour before the trip starts.
