Dog Sledding Evening_Own Car
You do not need any previous skills to mush your own husky team. All you need is reasonable physical health and an eagerness to try something new. Upon arrival at the camp, you will be provided with warm winter clothing and given thorough safety instructions and a practical demonstration from our lovely English-speaking guides. Once you are ready, you will embark on your journey. Two people will share each sled and a dog team. One is the “musher” (driver) and the other can sit back and enjoy the ride. If your group includes children, please kindly note, that each child must be accompanied by an adult. You can switch places midway during the 12 km dog sledding trail. Depending on snow conditions, we will spend approx. 1 hr 30 min to complete the dog sledding route.
After the dog sledding adventure, you will be served a hot meal in a traditional northern Norwegian setting around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. After relaxing and warming up, you can board the bus back to the city and reflect on a memorable adventure.
Note! Children below the age of 7 years old are not permitted. Please kindly note that this tour is not focused on catching the Northern Lights, but it offers a great chance of witnessing the natural phenomenon.

Food & beverages
During the tour, we will serve you a hot meal in a traditional North Norwegian setting around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. Due to the limited access to a kitchen, we serve a traditional Norwegian soup/stew. The main ingredient is meat (lamb or reindeer) or fish. All meals contain vegetables and we also serve “Polar bread” on the side. We serve coffee, tea and water to the meal. Vegetarian food will be provided if notice is given. Upon booking this tour, please advise us of any food allergies; we will provide an alternative option.
What to wear & bring with you?
We recommend dressing in warm winter clothing and in layers so you can adjust your clothing to the weather. We recommend bringing a scarf in cold weather.
